Are you an experienced procurement professional who thrives in complex, technical project environments? For a leading organisation active in high?specification maritime and defence projects, we are seeking an **Interim Senior Project Buyer** who can step in and deliver immediate impact. About the Role You will be responsible for managing the tactical procurement process within defence related vessel projects. Working closely with engineering, project management and key suppliers, you ensure that critical components and systems are sourced on time, within budget, and according to strict quality and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities - Lead tactical and project based purchasing activities - Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers for specialised technical equipment - Manage contracts, pricing, delivery schedules and risk mitigation - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement with project milestones - Monitor supplier performance and resolve deviations proactively - Contribute to continuous improvement within the procurement process Your Profile - Several years of experience as a Project Buyer, Tactical Purchaser, or similar role - Strong background in technical, maritime, offshore or defence related procurement - Skilled negotiator with a structured, proactive working style - Able to operate independently in a fast?moving project environment - Fluent in English; Dutch is an advantage What This Assignment Offers - A high impact role within a specialised defence project environment - The opportunity to contribute directly to the success of complex, high value projects - A professional, innovative and technically advanced workplace - A clear and defined 3 month interim engagement with options to extend |
